“Passion, effort, tenacity, courage in many moments and, above all, love for what you do, are some of the characteristics that are finally translated into a professional job. The result of that conjunction is what we want to celebrate with you, that excellence that each one of you has achieved in your areas. Congratulations to everyone!” Víctor Ullate

These Awards, organized in collaboration with the Obra Social “la Caixa”, are based on the VALUES of the Víctor Ullate Dance Foundation: EXCELLENCEWORK and EFFORT, and aim to “Recognize the career of personalities of the art and culture with a trajectory of excellence that are a source of motivation and inspiration for others.” To this end, five categories related to the world of arts, culture and social work have been created, in addition to an Honorary Award.

The origin of these Awards goes back to December 2016, the date on which the “UNIDOS POR LA DANZA” campaign is launched with a Charity Gala at Teatros del Canal in Madrid. In this Gala, point shoes of consecrated dancers were collected with great personal stories of self-improvement, bravery and courage that served as inspiration and motivation to young people who fight for their passion.

The diffusion of culture through Dance moved the VÍCTOR ULLATE DANCE FOUNDATION to launch this initiative to raise funds to continue supporting children with great skills for Dance and limited economic resources. During the Gala, in the lobby before the audiotorium of CaixaForum, the point shoes that were collected were exhibited and could be purchased by donation to the Foundation.

This video is a tribute to all the attendees and all the friends of the Ballet who stayed attentive to the Gala.

See you next year!
